1. What is electromedical equipment?
It is an electric equipment with only one connection device to a given electric power supply network to provide diagnosis, treatment or monitoring of the patient, under medical supervision, which establishes physical or electrical contact with the patient and/or delivers energy to the patient, or receives it from him, and/or detects this transference of energy.
 
2. What is calibration?
Set of operations that establish, under specified conditions, a relationship between values indicated by a measurement tool or measurement system or values represented by a materialized measure or reference material, and values corresponding to attributes established by standards.
 
3. What is adjustment?
Operation intended to prepare the measurement tool in order to have a performance in accordance with its use.
 
4. What are settings?
Settings, using only the features available in the user’s instruments .
 
5. What is traceability?
Property of a measurement result or default value to be related to assigned references, usually national or international standards, through a continuous comparison chain, all of them with established uncertainties.
 
6. What is Inmetro’s Certificate of Compliance?
